#SafeSPORTevent local training was implemented in Turkey

Ersel Aydın: ‘The project provides positive change’

The local activity of the project within the scope of Erasmus on ‘Safety in Sports’, in which Kargenç Club from our city is a partner, was carried out.

Within the scope of Erasmus+ Sports supports, the local activity of the project named SafeSPORTevent on ‘Safety in Sports’, carried out under the coordination of Bulsport (BSDA) Association from Bulgaria and partnered by Kargenç Club from our city, was carried out on 16th of April 2022.

PRESENTATIONS, EXCHANGES OF IDEAS, SURVEY…

Karasu Youth Art and Sports Club Association (KARGENÇ) director Ersel Aydın gave information about the projects and studies. Mr.Aydin; “At the event, an informative presentation was made for physical education teachers, coaches and sports officials in the local area. Ideas and practices in the field of safety and security in sport were discussed and views were exchanged on its potential future development on the subject. The data were sent to the coordinator for the report analysis of the survey study carried out before, during and after the presentation.

SAFETY IS VERY IMPORTANT

Ersel Aydın said, “The #SafeSPORTevent project is inspired by many lived experiences in Europe and the world, where safety is very important and the sports industry is no exception. The project is an Erasmus+ co-financed initiative that aims to protect athletes, officials and fans participating in sporting events from health and safety hazards with specific safety protocols.”

PROVIDES POSITIVE CHANGE

“This project also aims to develop the knowledge and skills of volunteers and administrators through educational mobility in order to empower stakeholders to create and use special protocols for safety and to prepare tailor-made safety protocols for large groups of people to come together in sporting events and sporting environment.

Thanks to the increased training opportunities in the field of safety in sports, the #SafeSPORTevent project provides positive change in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey, as well as all over Europe, as the outputs of the project will be freely shared with sport stakeholders”.
